He attended Central Highschool. After art school he was awarded four-year scholarship to the Museum of Industrial Arts in Philadelphia. He painted murals in the tri-state area. He graduated as an illustrator and painter. One of the first paintings was the Charging Warriors. Listed in Who's who in black art. Other paintings include pebbles (oil) color of a little black girl with bifocals. This took first prize in the NAEC art competition. Other work includes Dancing Watusi (oil) Black Madona (oil) life size portrait of Dr Martin Luther King. Project Blues (Acrylic) and many more achievements in his lifetime. Mr. Knox was commission to do many paintings most of which consisted of portraits and murals. He was the Assistant Director of graphics in Naval Supply Depot, Visual Information Specialist, U.S department of Labor). A Media Specialist, during his life Mr. Knox did free-lance work for many companies. He enjoyed his life and his family
